On this 1.5 hour excursion through the creeks behind Folly Beach, learn about the ecological and cultural history of our unique area's barrier islands, pirates, colonization and slavery, Civil War battles and more. Offered through Charleston Outdoor Adventures.
Meet at Charleston Outdoor Adventures, 1871 Bowens Island Road. Tours are 1 1/2 hours long.
Registration and payment are required at least four business days in advance.
Refund/Cancellation Policy:
- All kayak/boat tour reservations made through Lowcountry and Waring Senior Centers for tours with COA are adjustable up to 24 hours before the tour start time.
- At the 24-hour mark, all reservations are final, and no refunds will be issued.
- If Members/Guests need to cancel within 24 hours - they must contact Charleston Outdoor Adventures office at 843-795-0330 to discuss rescheduling or credits for a future excursion.
- Any no shows or cancellations within four (4) hours of the tour start time are subject to a $10 rescheduling fee, which is handled with COA.
- If COA must cancel a tour due to inclement weather, COA will offer a credit to the member/guest to use towards a future excursion, or in the COA gift shop. Members/Guests reschedule directly with COA. Senior Center Staff is not involved.
